Bangladesh also saw a solid growth with US apparel imports increasing by 7%, while Cambodia and China experiencing a modest growth in US apparel imports by 4% and 3% respectively in June 2026. Vietnam, despite being the largest supplier in the comparison, recorded a 1% increase in US apparel imports in June 2026, indicating relatively stable performance compared to June 2025.
In contrast, India experienced the steepest decline in US apparel imports with imports falling by 14% in June 2026 compared to June 2025. At the same time Indonesia also saw a contraction in US apparel imports with a drop in US imports by 7% in June 2026 compared to June 2025.

At the same time, Vietnam and Indonesia experienced a similar growth in US apparel imports at 3% each in 2026.
In contrast, China experienced the steepest decline in total US apparel imports with imports falling at 30%, followed by India with a notable decline in US apparel imports by 24% over the corresponding period in 2025. At the same time Bangladesh and Sri Lanka also saw a drop in total US apparel imports by 5% and 2% respectively over the corresponding period in 2025.

Sri Lanka recorded the sharpest decline with imports falling at 40% indicating a significant reduction in UK apparel imports from the country during the month. Similarly, Bangladesh also saw a substantial decrease in UK apparel imports at 22% compared to June 2025. Among others, UK imports from Vietnam fell by 11% while UK imports from India and Indonesia each declined by 5% in June 2026. At the same time, Cambodia also saw a decline at 3% in UK imports in June 2026.
In contrast, China was the only country to record a growth with UK apparel imports increasing by 1% compared to June 2025, indicating China’s relative resilience amid the overall downward trend observed in June 2026 compared to June 2025.

Vietnam recorded the highest growth in total apparel imports at 8%, followed by India with a growth at 6% over the same period in 2025. Cambodia also posted a growth in total UK apparel imports at 1% indicating a largely stable performance over the corresponding period in 2025.
Among the countries experienced decline in total UK apparel imports, Sri Lanka recorded the largest decrease at 9% indicating a noticeable reduction in total UK apparel imports in 2026 over the same period in 2025. Indonesia followed with a contraction in total apparel imports at 7% in 2026 making it the second largest decline among other countries considered. Bangladesh and China experienced marginal decline in total UK apparel imports at 1% each demonstrating their stability compared to the same period in 2025.
