Included in this comparison is a selection of key competitors to Sri Lanka Apparel and includes Bangladesh, China, India, Vietnam, Cambodia & Indonesia.

At the same time Sri Lanka also saw a drop in US apparel imports by 4% in February 2026. In contrast US apparel Imports from Cambodia, Vietnam and Indonesia grew by 14%, 4% and 1% respectively in February 2026 compared to US apparel imports in February 2025.

Similarly total US apparel imports from India saw a drop at 23% while total imports from Bangladesh experienced a moderate decline by 8% over the same period in 2025. Total US imports from Sri Lanka remained relatively stable with only a marginal decrease of 0.3% over the same period. In contrast, total US apparel imports from Cambodia, Vietnam and Indonesia grew by 21%, 5% and 4% respectively over the corresponding period in 2025.

India experienced the highest growth at 32%, followed by Bangladesh and Vietnam with a growth at 27% and 25% respectively. At the same time UK apparel imports from Cambodia, China and Sri Lanka also reported growth at 8%, 7.31% and 7% respectively in February 2026. In contrast, UK apparel imports from Indonesia saw a significant decline at 31% in February 2026 compared to UK imports in February 2025.

At the same time imports from China also grew by 3% over the same period in 2025. In contrast, the UK apparel imports from Indonesia reported a significant drop at 20% during the period while imports from Cambodia and Sri Lanka also declined marginally by 1% and 0.41% respectively over the same period in 2025.
